Rachel Slade, LM, CPM
I am a Licensed Midwife in the state of California and a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM). I am planning on starting a practice in the Santa Cruz area that will be up and running in Spring 2018. In the meantime I am assisting various midwives in the Santa Cruz and San Jose areas. With my spare time I am making body products, hiking, river rafting, gardening, cooking, dancing, and making jewelry.
I attended Birthingway College of Midwifery in Portland, Oregon and graduated with a Certificate in Midwifery in July 2017. Birthingway is a rigorous 3-year, MEAC-accredited, residential midwifery college and I received a remarkable education. I apprenticed with a small home birth practice in Portland, Oregon called Rosehip Midwifery, as well as the busy birth center Thrive Center for Birth and Family Wellness in Santa Rosa, California. I am current in Adult/Child/Infant CPR, as well as Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP).
